PRK
can correct near and farsightedness and astigmatism
using the cool Excimer laser light to remove the
top layer of corneal tissue. The rays of light are
precisely computer guided and actually vaporize
the anterior layers of the cornea. The cornea is
reshaped to your specific prescription. Like LASIK,
mild numbing eye drops are used. After surgery some
eye sensitivity is typically present for about 24
to 48 hours. PRK usually takes about fifteen (15)
minutes to perform.
