Having
a comprehensive eye exam is important not only to determine
if you require spectacles or reading glasses (presbyopia),
but also to screen for Glaucoma and detect other ocular diseases
which can strike at any age. Many of these eye diseases are
preventable if diagnosed and treated early. If you are over
35, we recommend that you have a comprehensive eye examination
every two years. For patients over 65, a yearly eye exam is
recommended. During an eye exam, it may be necessary to dilate
the pupils of your eyes. After dilation, some people may have
difficulty driving a car after your appointment. For this reason
you may want to make appropriate transportation arrangements.
